Greening Pembrokeshire

We have been working closely with Pembrokeshire County Council on a number of green infrastructure & biodiversity improvement projects.

Having worked with the Council to add some biodiversity at Haverfordwest Castle in the form of a wildflower meadow (installed by Meadow Creations), we have also recently supplied Pembrokeshire County Council with approximately 1,950m2 of Wildflower Turf® for use at various sites around Haverfordwest.

The additional turf projects have been installed by Arcswood CIC, a social enterprise providing professional grounds maintenance services throughout Pembrokeshire.

Arcswood exists to ensure that young people and adults in their community do not become disadvantaged by a lack of volunteering, work experience and training opportunities and they aim to support young people and adults of all abilities, including those with additional learning needs.

Our Business Development Manager, Helen Gillespie-Brown, and Trevor Bendall from Meadow Creations (and our former Production Manager) conducted a training day with Haverfordwest Town Council and Pembrokeshire County Council staff just prior to lockdown in 2020 to ensure that the team were well equipped with expert knowledge on wildflower solutions to help green up Haverfordwest.
