As in previous years, we are once again sponsoring the Landscape Institute Award for Excellence in Biodiversity Conservation & Enhancement.
The LI Awards are all about celebrating people, places and nature, and the myriad of ways that landscape projects can connect them. The Awards celebrate spaces that people can be truly proud of and pay homage to the exceptional contribution of landscape designers, managers, planners, researchers, local authorities, and more across the world in levelling up and creating a better place to live.
This year, the following categories are offered, with entries closing on the 15th of July.
- 15 redesigned Professional category awards, covering all aspects of practice
- 5 Open category awards, for landscape professionals anywhere to enter
- Building with Nature Award
Judging will take place from August, with finalists announced in September and the Awards ceremony itself earmarked for the 24th of November.
Our sponsored Award for Excellence in Biodiversity Conservation & Enhancement is open to LI members and celebrates projects which emphasise the enhancement or connectivity of habitats for biodiversity.
The judging panel will be looking for outstanding projects which provide tangible benefits towards addressing the biological diversity crisis and which promote the delivery of measurable biodiversity net gains. This may include designs which emphasise the enhancement or connectivity of habitats for biodiversity; or a wider place-based ecological assessment or management strategy.
We are looking forward to a strong field of entrants and we will feature the finalists in our sponsored category in a later edition of our newsletters.
