Large project? No problem! We are no strangers to growing and delivering product for large project specifications, but there are a few things worth considering when you are in the planning phase.
If you have a major project in the pipeline, do ensure you are in touch with Helen or Stephanie at the outset to ensure that we allocate your requirements out nice and early! We have three growing sites (Hampshire, Shropshire and Yorkshire) and can also grow to bespoke specification but we do need as much notice as possible to ensure that we can meet your requirements on very large orders.
And on the subject of large projects, we are currently supplying Wildflower Turf® Species Rich to three new Amazon data centre sites as the web giant further addresses its carbon footprint.
The first data centre will sit on the former Didcot Power Station site in Oxfordshire and will feature two new buildings. It has been pledged that the new Amazon data centre site will achieve net-zero carbon emissions by 2040, and be powered by 100 per cent renewable energy by 2025.
Our second Amazon project is a 27MW data centre on a site near Swindon. Previously occupied by two former Hewlett-Packard (HP) data centres, which were switched off in 2020, the new facility has been designed as a single building with four data halls and construction is currently underway. By the end of August, we will have shipped 15,832m² of turf to this site alone!
We are also supplying Wildflower Turf® Species Rich Lawn Turf to a further new Amazon site in Bracknell.
We’ll be featuring further updates on these projects over time, so stay tuned!
