NEXT DATE: New dates released soon – register your interest
To register your interest in attending, please email wildflower@wildflowerturf.co.uk and we’ll be in touch when the new course dates are released.
These days provide you with an overview of BNG, how wildflower products can help achieve BNG and how to implement & maintain them.
The global decline in biodiversity necessitates innovative solutions. BNG emerges as a promising policy tool, requiring developers to demonstrate a 10% minimum net gain in habitat units compared to pre-development conditions, leaving biodiversity in a better state than before the development took place. Measured using DEFRA’s biodiversity metric, habitats will need to be maintained and secured for at least 30 years. Wildflowers offer a fantastic solution to achieving BNG requirements. With the UK having lost 97% of its wildflower meadows since the 1930s, restoring these vibrant, beautiful habitats is a crucial step toward achieving biodiversity net gain.
