MeadowSow™ Species Rich

The original species rich lawn turf. This is a tried and tested mix that can be used as an alternative to a standard amenity grass lawn, with improved biodiversity.

Similar to a monoculture lawn but with the added benefit of increased biodiversity to help meet regulatory standards such as BREEAM and BNG.

This biodiverse lawn is treated in the same way as a conventional lawn (regularly mown and fertilised). The flowering species included in the mix are able to survive and thrive with this regime. This is not a colourful solution, but is species rich.

All seeds are of UK provenance.

Approximately 26 UK provenance wildflowers.

Ratio is 20% Flora, 80% non-invasive grasses (as sown*).

 

BNG UKHab Classification:

This mix can be used to create:

> A lowland calcareous grassland, UK Hab g2a (10 of the indicator species), or

> A lowland meadow, UK Hab g3a (8 indicator species included).
