Frequently Asked Questions

What preparation is required to install Meadowscape Pro™?

Clear the area of weeds or complete a light turf and remove surface dead material with a mower or rake (but do NOT) disturb the weed bank). Meadowscape Pro™ to be dressed to a 25mm (or 1”) in depth.

Meadowscape Pro™ is an active ingredient and must be installed within 1 day of delivery.

What is the timeframe to a full flowering meadow?

3-4 months if installed in the Spring or Summer months. If installed in Autumn, the wildflowers will germinate then enter a dormant state over the winter. Come Spring, the wildflowers will begin to fully establish and flower.

How much sunlight does the area need?

Meadowscape Pro™, like our other product ranges, needs a minimum of 3-4 hours of dappled sunlight during peak summer. Ideally, the more sunlight, the better. Contact us for specific details on each mix.

Can Meadowscape Pro™ be used on slopes?

Yes, Meadowscape Pro™ can be used on slopes up to 30 degrees. However, close monitoring is crucial during establishment. Heavy rain could cause wash away or uneven thickness.

Which mix is best for a shaded area?

Similar to our Wildflower Turf®, we recommend checking what currently grows in the area. If grass struggles, wildflowers likely will too. We have a Shade Tolerant mix available in Meadowscape Pro™, however it still needs at least 3-4 hours of dappled summer sunlight. For further advice contact our advisors on 01256 771 222.

When is the best time to install Meadowscape Pro™?

Meadowscape Pro™ can typically be installed between March and October, depending on weather conditions.

Meadowscape Pro™ is an active ingredient and must be installed within 1 day of delivery and must be kept damp for 4-6 weeks following installation.

What is Meadowscape Pro™ and how does it work?

Meadowscape Pro™ is a specialised growing medium pre-mixed with wildflower seeds. It provides an optimal environment for seed germination, making it a budget-friendly option. Meadowscape Pro™ essentially replicates the initial stage of our turf creation process. You can lay it at the recommended thickness, and the wildflowers will fully establish naturally over 3-4 months, compared to 1-2 years for traditional seed methods.
